Vivienne is a Registered Physiotherapist with CORU, the regulatory body for Healthcare Professionals in Ireland.
Vivienne works in private practice in Castletroy, Co. Limerick, seeing patients from all backgrounds, sporting and non-sporting, who are dealing with issues affecting their performance, work or daily activities. Vivienne also works in Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary on Tuesdays each week. Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy has a fully equipped gym for client assessment and rehabilitation.
Vivienne currently works with several club GAA teams in Limerick and prior to that was physio to Tipperary U20 Football for two years, as well as being physio to Waterford Senior Football in 2021. Vivienne has competed in powerlifting with the Irish Powerlifting Federation.
Vivienne recently gained her qualification in Shockwave Therapy and added Focused Shockwave Therapy to her services in Castletroy. Focused Shockwave therapy (ESWT) uses focused electroacoustic waves to stimulate repair in targeted tissues. Benefits of shockwave therapy include neovascularisation, stimulation of growth factors, collagen production & cell proliferation. It is often used in treating chronic tendinopathies such as Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow.
